David Morrill Promoted to Vice President of Engineering

December 2013- Saco, ME. Wentworth Technology Inc., a leading provider of wireless communications technology solutions, announced that David Morrill has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering for the Company. Mr. Morrill is responsible for all aspects of product development.

Mr. Morrill, who served as Wentworth Technology’s Director of Engineering for the past 3 years, has led the firm’s overall product development efforts as well as providing expert hardware and software engineering expertise. His background includes extensive work in conceptualization of new products, electronics integration, and mechanical engineering.

Prior to Wentworth Technology, Mr. Morrill has over twenty years of experience in the electronics industry including product engineering, applications, design, research and development, product definition, quality, and management. Mr. Morrill worked at National Semiconductor, as a Principal Applications Engineer, where he was responsible for new product definition and marketing of PCI express integrated circuits which required detailed understanding of computer architecture, hardware, high speed circuit modeling, and industry standards. He was also Founder of Abunai Worldwide, an electronic assembly and design consulting firm, where he provided contract design, software, and assembly of electronic devices and enclosures, including sophisticated embedded systems. Furthermore, he was a Member of Technical Staff for Fairchild Semiconductor where he was lead/contributing engineer on several major integrated circuit development projects.

Mr. Morrill received his B.S in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of Maine. Additionally, He holds 10 U.S. Patents.
